States That Have Approved Stimulus Relief. Will Your State Be Next?

Amidst the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, the U.S. economy has been struggling, prompting several states to take action and provide stimulus relief to their residents. Consequently, the federal government has sanctioned the allocation of stimulus payments to the states that have sought assistance. The primary objective of these payments is to aid those who have been severely impacted by the pandemic, such as families, workers, and businesses.

However, a few states have not yet taken the necessary measures to acquire the funds, raising concerns among the populace regarding the availability of stimulus relief in their respective states. This article aims to delve into the list of states that have already granted stimulus relief.

Alaska

The Alaska state program already sends residents a yearly dividend, but in 2022, residents will receive $650 for energy payments.

Those who choose to combine their PFD and energy assistance into one direct deposit will receive an additional $650.

The PFD has grown significantly this year due to rising oil prices. The dividend is funded in part by oil and mineral profits from the state.

Those who requested a paper check on the 20th of September were sent on October 6. Starting the week of October 6, those requesting a paper check were distributed.

California

The California Franchise Tax Board is estimating that 90% of payments will be sent out in October.

Families with children who are eligible may receive an additional $350, bringing the total to $700.

Those who had their Stimulus payments directly deposited between October 7 and October 25 should have received their Middle-Class Tax Refund by October 28. From October 28 to November 14, the remaining deposits were scheduled to occur.

From October 24 to December 10, 2022, you will also receive your California stimulus payments via debit card if you received your debit card. The remaining card will be sent on January 14, 2023.

Idaho

The rebates were distributed in March after Idaho Governor Brad Little signed in February a bill that allocated around $350 million in rebates to Idaho residents.

The rebates were issued to Idahoans who filed their ‘20 and ‘21 tax returns or a refund for grocery-credit forms in the state.

Individuals who submitted their 2020 state tax returns or those who lived in Idaho and filed refund forms received the rebates.

The rebates were distributed in September after direct deposits were made. A rebate for Idaho taxpayers who filed their state taxes in 2020 was passed by lawmakers on September 1. Those that file jointly will receive $600, and those filing individually will receive $300.

Indiana residents who filed their 2018 taxes by January 2022 will receive a one-time $125 refund. By the end of the year 2021, Governor Holcomb announced residents would receive a $125 refund only after taxpayers filed their taxes for 2021.

There’s no requirement for income. To be eligible, taxpayers must file their tax return before April 18, as well as their 2020 tax return by January 3, 2022.

The payment was the same amount as a payment issued to workers that had direct Covid-19 patient-care responsibilities between December 2019 and January 2022, and to workers without direct patient-care responsibilities annually, an income of less than $85,000 was required.
